Introducing SteemAustralia.org

WELCOME

It is with great pleasure and adrenaline that I bring to you www.steemaustralia.org.

From the beginning of Steem Australians have been active in the creation of this wonderful blockchain and we have become proactive and constructive contributors to just about all, if not in fact all of the open communities that make up the social platforms build on our blockchain.

Apart from this us Aussies have made a community of our own, called "Team Australia". One of the fastest growing Steemian communities. Helping Aussies get on board and making the most of what Steem has to offer.

We also have our very own Discord Server, teaming up with Team New Zealand and doing things the way us Aussies do them, helping our mates out, in this case our Kiwi neighbours.

As Steem expands all over the world, as we get closer to the day that Smart Media Tokens (SMT) get introduced, we see unlimited potential coming our way. The Steem blockchain shall be offering and making possible what has never been seen or dreamed of before.

Having excelled in the community side of things, it is now time to start looking into the business side of things too.

Australia is a country/continent the size of The USA. Which many do not know and to do anything on a national level takes a lot of resources and effort. The most valuable resources that exist are of course Human Resources.

Us, Steemians, the people who make this blockchain tick!

Luckily there are already an organized team of people from all over the world who have gone the extra mile, to promote Steem on an international level, yet doing so in a manner that ensures all cultures and nations can do so effectively in 'their own backyards'.

This fantastic project is called PROMO-STEEM.

The founders of Promo-Steem are: @starkerz , @anarcotech and @stephenkendal

Recently Promo-Steem accepted @jackmiller (Witness) into their ranks as the first Australian Steem Ambassador.

Here are the relevant links to this:

Taking the approach of NETWORKING with people/fellow Steemians, I went ahead and started putting together a strategy as to "How to go about getting Aussies on board" with this ever so necessary process of promoting Steem in Australia.

So that those amongst us who are interested in promoting Steem are not left to themselves and feeling stranded.

Thanks to Promo-Steem this won't happen, yet unlike many other countries out there, Australia is unique in that we really do need to all pitch in all over our continent/nation. Guess this is where we can use the good old principle of "Think globally, act locally" can prove to be appropriate.

This website www.steemaustralia.org with its direct posting to the Steem(it) account @steemaustralia is one of the most useful tools that can be used in the process of OPENLY and PUBLICLY networking and ensuring the flow of information is made available to EVERYONE.

The approach here using the plugin SteemPress shall be extremely simple:

All contributors shall be made content creators via their own emails, hence giving everyone who hops on board the freedom and liberty to promote their news to the world via www.steemaustralia.org and at the same time it automatically gets posted to @steemaustralia on the Steem blockchain, which shall be visible on Steemit.com and Busy.org (and any future sites that make it possible).

If there is an existing post that anyone wants to promote via SteemAustralia, simply write a short intro to it add your relevant link and Bob's your uncle!

FOR STARTERS:

I would like to call upon the following people to register on here so as to ensure they can take full advantage of SteemAustralia in everything they do in promoting Steem and that is in any way relevant to Australia/Australians:

MOST IMPORTANTLY

& Consider this as a public invitation to ALL AUSSIES OUT THERE to hop on board if you too would like to take on the role of an Aussie Steem Promoter or better yet Steem Ambassador for your State, city, town.

Steem shall become what we the people make it!

As always, there’s no containing your enthusiasm to promote STEEM or your dedication to all things Aussie.

Love your energy, Jack. I hope good changes and new ideas come from this. Crazy busy atm, but I’ll cheer and support when I can.

Great idea dudes! Australia is by far the leading country on the blockchain... it's the 2000 Olympics all over again.

Lol. Comment of the day!

How do I join? I'm an Aussie ex-pat.

Go to the webpage, to the contact form and tell us what it is that you are interested in and we'll work it from there.

I used to watch Neighbours all the time when Kylie and Jason were in it, does that count?

What is the method for joining teamaustralia. I'm an Aussie and have been posting a few Australia related posts with a teamaustralia tag but getting no interest.

This is awesome Jack. Well done on putting this together. Not sure what I'll contribute yet but I'll work something out. :)

Wait. Is that MY logo youre using for Steem Australia? As far as I recall I authorised the use of that graphic for TEAM AUSTRALIA.

I do not know who this steem australia is.

Please dm me jack.

And wait... did you edit my work without authorisation?!!!!

Hmmm...

OK, to clarify.

I join. I log on to the website - presumably a Wordpress site, seeing as you're using Steempress plugin.

I then add content onto that website, and its published on Steemit by the @steemaustralia account.

Any rewards from that post would then be received by @steemaustralia account.

So, as the original creator of that content, what is the benefit for me to post content for this account to be rewarded, rather than just posting it on my own account and claiming the rewards.

Can you explain this please?

Well, what you need to do, if the post is PROMOTING STEEM IN AUSTRALIA or PROMOTING STEEM IN A WAY THAT RELEVANT TO AUSTRALIA:

Post it on your wall.

Then if you have registered as an Aussie Steem Promoter or BETTER YET applied to Promo Steem to become a STEEM AMBASSADOR (where your avatar will be added to the header on @steemaustralia)

You should write a short intro with the link and PROMOTE YOUR POST, all rewards go towards the Guild which is for rewarding Posts promoting Steem.

As is stated on the site under Promo Steem.

;)

I've been to the site, I understand that the website is to promote Steem in Australia.

But if I write a post here on Steem.... then the audience will already be Steem users, so kinda pointless (or at least already preaching to converted ;-) )

So, according to what I'm reading here, I'm meant to log on to steemaustralia.org, add some content, which will then get published onto Steem, the rewards of which will go to SteemAustralia.

Presumably then, any STEEM/SBD that @steemautralia has is then used to promote or upvote posts.... and by whom? Like, is this account now another curation account? Will it only upvote Aussie-made posts, or only upvote posts by those who join SteemAust?

I'm just not sure I understand the logic of posts within Steemit, promoting Steemit.....

PS: I'm not criticising the initiative, just trying to understand what it is exactly.

It's not posts within Steem only, once you are an (Australian) Steem Ambassador, or as is stipulated on the site "An Aussie Steem Promoter" you will be posting on www.steemaustralia.org the fact that it gets automatically posted to the blockchain is a plus.

You could go and check out the purpose of the Promo-Steem Guild and how it works and how it all helps to reward those who promote Steem in their country.

;)

So I go and post stuff on the website to help promote Steem in Oz.
Do I get rewards for that? What I'm understanding so far is that the purpose of all this is to be rewarded for promoting Steem out there in the real world.

And as a content creator in Steemit, you'll only upvote/curate if I use the promo-steam tag or the steem-australia tag?

Basically you have the gist of things, but many posts that haven't used those tags have been upvoted by Promo-Steem.

But yeah, we now have an Aussie in Promo-Steem, yours truly.

So the idea is to build on what already exists and works, no need to "reinvent the wheel".

Plus Promo-Steem is all about synergy and helping those who devote time to promoting Steem.

It works, pretty good too.

At the next Steem Fest, I am sure there will be a lot of talk about it all from and by the founders, like what was the case at the last Steem Fest.

It really is a great grassroots initiative that WORKS!

A-ha! Sorry, when I read the original post, it seemed like the emphasis was on creating content to go on the steemaustralia website....

Australians all let us rejoice!

For we are young and free!

With crypto gold, tokens and coins,

but our favorite of all is STEEM!

Recently I saw that you followed me, I give you a follow in return, I would love to invite you to give me upvote on my post, and support my project, I will upvote for you in the future.

I thank you for encouraging me and other artists. Keep on Steemin my friend!
