RE: Home Brew Beer

With the price of everything going up making your own beer is a great idea @rynow

Always have beer on tap for braai's (BBQ), the only person I can think of that may be able to give you ideas on brewing process is @braaiboy

Your post has been selected to be entered into @teamsouthafrica's Daily Nominated Post section in Teamsouthafrica's Discord group. Congratulations!

Hey @rynow,

I'll chat to my mate Gavin from OC Breweries (the brewmaster scientist behind my beer), but while I speak under correction, lagers are ideally suited for winter... fermenting at their best around 8 to 12 °C (inside the fermenter) ... Stout's like it a little warmer though (around 17 °C).

P.S. 14 °C shouldn't be too cold outside for your fermenter to reach ideal temp for your stout... unless there's something wrong with your yeast (or if there isn't enough of it).

Yes, I heated up the room and added some more yeast and it seems to be fermenting now!
Thanks for the input.

Thank you very much
