Bodybuilding. To some it's a sport of vanity, too slow, too repetitive.
I am not a bodybuilder myself but was always fond of an impact it has on one's will and determination.
It happened so that i get to know many guys and ladies who are into bodybuilding on a pro level. And pro lever requires pro determination and dedication. All the sacrifices that bodybuilders have to make to stay competitive does not stop to surprise my. And why? What's the point of this daily grind, since most of them spend more to get into shape than they actually gain from it financially.
Well. it's like a drug, like a lifestyle where you continuously have to push yourself, that drive that makes you keep on strict diet and regime, it sorts you brain in a nice way which leaves you calm and concentrated on other life tasks. Sometimes i think that bodybuilding is a mental exercise than a physical one, but only those who ventured far enough into it can understand.
For the rest though it is either appealing visually or not. Depends from person to person.
I think it's quite difficult to do bodybuilding on a pro level without a sponsoring. You need so much time daily and a lot of people do it nowadays.
Then you have always in mind you need to win the next competition and prize to be (financially) able to continue etc.

Exactly, and in Lithuania it's almost impossible to find sponsors for this type of sports, so the guys have to hustle between jobs and sports and still achieve amazing results. now, that's what i call dedication and sometimes question myself, why are they still doing this. Probably it's addictive.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad second place is yours. Thank You very much for participating.
