That's a great shame, and a pity that the farmers are using poisons to keep rats and mice under control. There are ways to control these pests without poison so of owls and raptor birds get them, they still won't die.

So what happens now? Do the birds have to live to the end of their lives with you?

We'll wait. I hope that the situation will change. They are not tame birds and we do not try to make them tame. But I want them to get used to that there is food for them. So they will not need to look for food and this will reduce the risk. We have experience when kestrels and crows, whom we treated, now come to us for food.
