Well, I do not know. I was told by people from other cities that they can not take a picture of a woodpecker in any way. Probably, everywhere in different ways. At us absolutely not timid woodpeckers. And in general all kinds! :)
Yes, they have a cool and useful tail. I read that their tail is sometimes sharpened.
