Well, this is huge news.
I didn't think BCH was going to have a strong future, but I'm being proven wrong. Accepting BCH for withdrawls on to Coinbase is the first move. They said trading support will be considered and evaluated after. If they allow trading on Coinbase, BCH may be a worthwhile trade after all. We'll have to see as the situation unfolds.
Over the last several days, we’ve examined all of the relevant issues and have decided to work on adding support for bitcoin cash for Coinbase customers. We made this decision based on factors such as the security of the network, customer demand, trading volumes, and regulatory considerations.
We are planning to have support for bitcoin cash by January 1, 2018, assuming no additional risks emerge during that time.
Once supported, customers will be able to withdraw bitcoin cash. We’ll make a determination at a later date about adding trading support. In the meantime, customer bitcoin cash will remain safely stored on Coinbase."
What does everyone think about this move, if you had BTC on Coinbase at the time of the fork, you're about to get some BCH in January!

My pleasure :)
At the rate by 1 January 2018 BCH may be worth just a few pennies. Other exchanges are already trading BCH so they are still late to the party!
Yep, I'm very curious to see what happens. Apparently, a bunch of people are trying to start a class action to sue Coinbase for not releasing it. GL with that!
I listened and moved everything off like they suggested for weeks.

That is good news for those that still have BTC on Coinbase. I took most of my BTC and put it on Bittrex. I got my BCH and sold already.
Yep, that's what I did as well. I don't have a ton of BTC so the risks of leaving it on the exchange and dealing with potential fallout weren't enough of a concern.
