RE: Is Bitcoin Cash the new Bitcoin

in #bitcoin7 years ago

First, I have trouble confirming your data on Blockchain info, last I checked, BTC Hashrate was 6930 PH (19 Aug) (https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/hashrate-btc-bch.html#6m), so not anywhere near 4853 PH, BTC Mempool is back to 38 mb (not great, but the alarm bells are not ringing, https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-size?timespan=30days). In regard to your hashrate takeover argument. At the moment, BTC hashrates don't seem to decrease while BCC hashrates increase, rather both hashrates increase together albeit at different rates? While I do see in the data an increase in BCC hashrate I do not see any decrease of BTC hashrates (https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/hashrate-btc-bch.html#6m), so what's all the fuzz about, aside from the politics of it?
