I think that the price of Bitcoin will be fairly uncertain this year. I do believe that it will rise in value for sure, but with Ripple showcasing the utilities of altcoins to the general public, it won't be a case of newbies having only heard of BTC before.
This could lead to a multitude of scenarios, the one that I would like to see happen is that BTC keeps a strong market dominance (which, despite its recent lows still has if you compare it to traditional asset dominance in other industries), but the altcoins that have great features and use cases will rise in value.
I think we´ll see all those scenarios to happen in 2018. It´ll be a huge up and down but in the end all the great coins will coexist and steem will be in the top 10 ;)
