Listening to that interview is like listening to the "old centralized" world telling you "I am the one knowing and you have to follow my rules". It gave me the impression he didn't want to get into details not to get caught into mistakes as he is probably not a great blockchain tech expert.
Luckily, this is one of the "old" institutions which will end up disappearing as blockchain technology evolves, you can not treat the audience as if they are little kids and you are the adult they have to listen to because they will end up working around the rules if they feel the rules are useless.
