RE: A Rant On EOS : The Travails of Dan

in #blockchain7 years ago

Well, what i do not understand about @dan is; why is he moving from project to project?

Who does he have to go wider when he can go deeper?

I have nothing against him, but i think he is already bored with previous projects, and certainly, he would move on to another project after EOS.

Before I get attacked, I hodl reasonable amount of EOS.

Sort:

EOS is not one application but a blockchain platform on which various applications can be built. With steemit it was just one application on a blockchain. Think of #EOS like #Waves or #Ethereum or #Lisk on which others can build.

Steem is a coin too, not a token remember? @dan will create 20 blockchains before 2020

The key word is Platform EOS is a platform not a coin or token.
Steemit /Steem/SBD are all tied to blogging and it does that well. Could it be better? that is up to you. The point is a purpose built blockchain is harder to adapt to another use case. EOS is starting as a blockchain platform designed to handle any type of use case you would like to apply to it including a blogging platform like steemit or better, exchanges , banks, shops, etc

Cool, do you see this affecting steem on the long run?

The early adopters of Steemit I expect the would be a 50/50 divide. The Whales without noble values but money would prefer Steemit. It's my understanding he was not in favour of using bots to automate votes especially for really sub-standard content.

@autofreak go check out his Youtube for his interview and what i do not understand about @dan is; why is he moving from project to project? will be made very clear. To paraphrase. Bitshare was built as an Exchange and has not needed his attention in a while. Steemit he built and invited the current CEO of Steemit to run. Steemit took a life of its own and resisted some or many changes. As someone who would not force his way on the community he stepped aside. If he was a selfish person we would have had a hardfork and maybe "Steemit Cash" or "Steemit Classic" or another forked related name.
EOS answers this in that it is a platform on which many applications can be created so he can just keep making new systems on it
