Steemit is an incentive based blockchain. We are rewarded to create, curate, and invest in the system. We are rewarded for adding value, sharing value, protecting value, and community involvement.
What if a corporation implemented their own internal incentives based blockchain that rewarded employees for value?
An employee would still have a wage, but through Salary Coin, they will receive real-time micro payments that are deposited into their Salary Wallet. At the end of the day, employees would have access to their salary coin.
Employees would be rewarded for value. The would receive Salary Coin for being on time, or coming in in early. They would be rewarded for every task completed.
Salary Coin can be used internally to buy services, or products that the corporation has available in their internal marketplace. This digital marketplace can sell vacations, gift cards, products, and even have a Craigslist style forum for employees to sell to each other. Salary Coin can also be used to buy lunch or Uber credits. Salary Coin can also be automatically deposited into savings or retirement.
Salary Coin can be converted every 3 months(to encourage employee retention). At that time, Salary Coin can be traded, converted, or cashed out.
I believe this would increase productivity and loyalty.
Because it is a blockchain, it can be used throughout the corporations ecosystem regardless of location. It would also be secure, and tamper proof from bosses.

Where else could we use this idea? Schools? Military?
What if we used the same idea with Fitbit, and created Health Coin. Imagine A Steemit model that encouraged health. To truly maximize this, you would also need wifi glucose implanted monitors.

This is a great idea. Though I am sure steemit have their hands full with this site.
They could roll this out to internal webs so people could like or dislike someone's work on any given day. The steem power equivalent would be given out by corporate rank and only powers down when you leave company but if you got lots of minnow votes you might be able to interest the Dolphins or whales of your company recognized.
I would love to see steem do this after it becomes stab listed in the general web

I personally wouldn't want to be paid with a coin that can only be internally traded. Id rather be paid in a crypto fully convertible. Else, you are forced to spend your "points" on company product. If it's extra it's nice but if it's your base salary, that seems not advantageous for the worker.
Yeah, I was thinking that just like steam power, they could pull out their salary going every three months only. That way they are encouraged to use internally, but every three months I can still pull it out… Thanks for the insight
