Stand Up For Yourself! A Personal Blog Update From @bullishmoney! :)

in #blog7 years ago

In my last personal #blog, I mentioned that I had to resolve a fraud case with my auto insurance company.

Long story short, my insurance company upcharged me on a premium policy without my approval or consent. Later, when I tried to resolve this issue over the phone, I was told "they can't do anything."

Well, my friends...don't ever take BS from anyone!!

Having exhausted all options, I just went over to their headquarters, determined to solve the problem before the day was done.

Armed with copious documentation, and then later having the service manager listen to the phone conversation where I allegedly gave my consent, I was later completely vindicated!

The manager apologized on behalf of the company, I had my original policy restored, and several employees just had a bad day today...perhaps even receiving a pink slip!

You see, the manager listened to several of my phone calls, and she was disturbed by the lack of customer service that her organization provided, including one supervisor who had falsely claimed I gave consent.

The lesson from my #story is this: always stand up for yourself, or else people will push you around forever!

Hi @bullishmoney. :) It is good to read your story and I am happy for you, successfully solved one most challenging events of your life. What I like in your story is that you never lost hope and you were determined to solve the upfront issue to your company. I learn something valuable in your story. Thank you

Thanks...I'm glad you liked it!

Glad that you got it sorted out. If you know you've done nothing wrong, by all means defend yourself fiercely! Hopefully you've prevented these bad employees from doing the same to others.

Yeah, it was a big relief, and they were literally driving me crazy. But I think usually, when a customer is willing to drive down to HQ and get something resolved, it gets resolved! :)
