RE: Ending the Quest to Be a Good Person!

in #blog7 years ago

As a Christian, we live out good God gives us, and some of us correct, admonish, edify within the context of moral, but judging is not given to us. We are supposed to renew our minds out of judging others.

Philippians 2:3 - Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves.

We are supposed to distinguish good and bad without judging, nor condemning. Also, distinguishing good and evil garners no acclaim for ourselves, because we are due no great reward for how "good we are". Fundamental premise of Christianity is only God is good, and if I do something good, the credit is due to Jesus who made me.

If God is good, the Son of God we each are must only be good as well guaranteeing the same infinite love for us given to and received by Christ?
