Don’t you just love it when people criticize crypto without any substantial knowledge of the technology that drives it?
I understand how one can be skeptical about something but how can one be equally critical when they know so little about it.
Yesterday, my friend attacked me for investing in cryptocurrencies because he feels like they are a scam. He brought his points across so confidently and LOUDLY yet the arguments hold no basis.
Statements like “How can a project be built on Ethereum” and “Why can’t a hacker simply change the data in the blockchain” being screamed at you isn’t a pleasant experience for anyone.
I feel that all this could have been averted if he would let me explain (which he clearly didn’t) or do the necessary research before participating in criticism. People like that are so fixed in their beliefs that they don’t give you a chance to speak.
If he was genuinely interested in having a civil discussion, he would have asked questions that gave him more insights to crypto instead of merely questioning the concept and validity of it.
There was no interest in discussion on his part. Just pure ranting…
