Another mea culpa.
It is where I want to learn from my mistakes.
Where I was wrong about Bitcoin Cash.
This is about something different than what is the best Bitcoin type and should be the one in the cryptos realm. That is something I still reject. Even though that is part of the whole paradigm that is living in the Bitcoin realm. It is easy though to get cought up in the division that is being stimulated. One is supposed to be either for this and against that. And to help this form a lot of propaganda and politics is being used. How to get the right information when the main dominant focus is on one version of Bitcoin? In what I have experienced myself is that the Bitcoin SegWit Core part of the realm is the dominant one. And where the apparant discussion took place was mere at the details of the implementation of Segerated Witness, than who or what is behind it and with what purpose?
At this time I want to understand what is going on and how I fell for a trap, at least that is how it feels. Reflections on how this worked for me, where did I go wrong? Part is due to trusting the one-sided propaganda channels, that clearly favoured Bitcoin SegWit Core. Discussion okay, but only about BIP91 or a User Initiated Soft Fork {UISF}. Had I forgotten about the Bitcoin Talk Forum, how I disliked even going back there for just a moment? If something was centralized and biased then it was that forum. Proof Of Work mining as the holy grail, nighmares. Oh, heaven forbid, no Distributed Proof Of Stake {DPOS}... So, that was part of where I got the information from. Seemed hard to get a point of view from the other side. And so it looked improbable to me that there even could be a split. But I kept in the back of my head that stranger things have happened before.
Again, it is not about what I prefer, because then I would have to state: the third one, Bitcoin UltraFast United. Because I still think POW mining is just a waste of energy and one block per 10 minutes is very out of date. So bigger blocks are not a solution, nor SegWit, no just move Bitcoin to a modern fast DPOS blockchain system called Bitshares. And in 2018 it will all run on EOS, fast and efficient like it should. So, there is my preference. But, I did get carried away once I felt drawn into the Bitcoin blockchain split arena. And I do think that Bitcoin Core apparantly being under control by a single company is dangerous. But on the other hand it is still Free Open Source, even with SegWit inside. Bitcoin Cash proves this. And what I thought was going to be real tough, because of the one sided information I fell for, was actually done with succes.
Still prefer a DPOS version.
The split is a fact and frankly I could care less who 'wins', it has been a leason on self reflection for me. Hopefully I did learn from it, so I stay away from the 'pro-against' diversions in the future. The feeling is bad afterwards, how could I have let myself get manipulated like that? Luckily I did open my mind again for a broader view, mainly because Bitcoin United got announced. That reminded me of Proof Of Work mining is a waste of energy from my point of view. Value is something people give, it is an idea, sometimes almost religious fanatic. And it is what some heavily experience as what is at stake in the game. At that point I needed to remind myself that I should not have more invested in cryptos than I was willing and able to lose in the first place. It is all about speculation, some choices turn out bad, some turn out good.
Their value added together, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, are almost worth 3200 USD. So from the opportunity side viewed, that is a nice gain. And the total cryptos market ceiling went over one hundred billion again. Just to show all the bubble shouters from the traditional financial realm they have declared cryptos dead so many times before that it is starting to become annoyingly ludicrous. But, that is also part of a one sided propaganda of what is known to many as the mainstream media. It is important for me to keep asking questions, that is a lesson learned, or better stated: confirmed again. And I did look into both types of Bitcoin that now have their own blockchain. That finally lead me to the conclussion: none of them I do prefer. Hopefully Bitcoin United, or whatever it is going to be called, will be realized on the Bitshares blockchain soon. Because I am convinced that DPOS is the way of the blockchain future. Especially in a parallel processing smart contract blockchain operating system like EOS.

At least you have gained experience from it all dude. I know myself how easy it is to fall into the trap of looking at one side of the picture.

#NL BCH of BTCC is gewoon Bitcoin zonder SegWit met grotere blocks, 8MB meer transacties, nu met een eigen versie van de Bitcoin blockchain.
Dat is alles. :-)
