Honey does have a lot of additional "goodies" as compared to pure sugar, of course. But please consider that honey itself IS sugar. "regular" sugar is saccharase, which consists of one molecule of glucose bound to another molecule of fructose. Honey is the same, just that bees have enzymes that cleave the two molecules. So it's 1:1 mix of glucose and fructose with some additional bee proteins plus flower constituents.
Bottom line: better than pure sugar, but don't eat too much of it. It is sugar, it has the same effects as sugar in high doses.
