I have been struggling for 2 days now in doing readings on freaky topics the way I normally do. It happens occaisonally, and I'm not really sure what causes the psychic fog. In this case, it might be the real fog that has been covering the house that I'm in for the last 5 days.
The weather here has been very weird, as it has been cloudy, misty, foggy, and around 33 degrees for 5 days. This is highly unusual in Minnesota. I can't complain, since it is way warmer than normal, but it might be screwing with my psychic mojo.
At any rate, in place of a reading, I did a Coffee and a smoke with Fergus session.
I cover some of the things I would tell you if we met up at a coffee shop.

I hope January is kind to everyone, and if it isn't I hope it offers some sort of clarity.
Peace, Hive.

Sounds like you saw the Black Shuck ferg.....
“He takes the form of a huge black dog, and prowls along dark lanes and lonesome field footpaths, where, although his howling makes the hearer’s blood run cold, his footfalls make no sound… . But such an encounter might bring you the worst of luck: it is even said that to meet him is to be warned that your death will occur before the end of the year. So you will do well to shut your eyes if you hear him howling; shut them even if you are uncertain whether it is the dog fiend or the voice of the wind you hear… you may perhaps doubt his existence, and, like other learned folks, tell us that his story is nothing but the old Scandinavian myth of the black hound of Odin, brought to us by the Vikings… .”

And in addition to the above, perhaps the most distinctive characteristic of the Black Shuck was its eyes, red and big as saucers.

Furthermore, these hellhounds were always said to appear suddenly and without warning, then disappear as quickly as they’d arrived. And if you did catch a glimpse of one, it was believed to be either a protective spirit, according to Modern Farmer, or a portent of death — a family guardian watching over everyone or a warning of certain doom.

thats just what they call it in Norfolk where Im from but its got a lot of other names depending where people spot it.

I am thankful that I was in my car when I saw it. I can't imagine what I would have done if I was just walking around outside.
If this thing wanted me dead, I would not be here today... even when I was in my car. It was a demon.

I did obsessive research after I saw it, and I came to the same conclusion.
In all of the stories I have read, I might be the only one who saw this thing during the daytime. It was like 3pm when I saw it!
It's interesting how the black, shaggy, red eyed creature takes slightly different forms in different parts of the world. A wolf here, a dog in England, a coyote in Mexico, a fox in Japan... etc.
I had never heard the connection to Odin before. That is super interesting. Thanks Basil!

yeh Odin was supposed to have a whole pack of these things I think....and theres a phenomenon across northern Europe called 'The wild hunt' or something where people have experienced multiple giant demon dogs, some with demonic riders etc.
chicken or the egg though right? These phenomena are probably WHY the legends of Odins dogs exist. Lots of stuff we are unable to explain
