The very instant I got a taste of "success" around here after grinding and struggling for years, well, from my perspective that's the day people like you would come along and start hating on me for it, adding in that bogus narrative about me doing something wrong to get somewhere. Dreemit was always good to have around to randomly kick me in the ass when I needed it so I wouldn't be feeling in the dumps.
Maybe I am a sensitive guy at times. But I think that has more to do with people crossing the line. A dude can only take so much. Pretty much on my own here as well. As far as Hive goes they actually did me a real favour because I was so pissed off I sold all my Hive tokens at an average of 95 cents and I had over 1/4 mill so that worked out bloody well! If they hadn't kept downvoting my posts I probably would have kept them.
But my calls on the other blockchains were all total lemons (Flote, Blurt, Bastyon, VYB) - with the benefit of hindsight this is a way better platform apart from the downvoting.

And yes I've heard your story about selling, numerous times. I made some moves back in the steem days and had some beginners luck trading. Kept this pile here. Got a few others. Not into bragging though. Just do my own thing. I planned for this pile to go up and down over the years so the value isn't on my mind at all. There's more to this Hive stuff than just the social scene so I find it difficult to subscribe to the whole doom and gloom surrounding downvotes. Several other platforms utilize some form of "dislike" button. Youtube would probably be the biggest and AI needs it for training. That just the way the world went.
