I'm sure most of you know by now that I and a few others are working to develop a new curation guild which will be composed of strictly volunteers who feel passionately about Steemit. We aim to ensure that the very best content receives the very best of rewards.
Initially, we had considered naming this new curation guild, SteemTrust.
I liked that it had a double meaning. Being trust, as in faith in one's integrity, and the legal term trust, where trustees hold onto someone(s) property or money(in this case voting power) for the benefit of all.
However, considering we live in a world where things such as the Patriot Act or the UN Peacekeepers do the exact opposite of what their titles imply, we thought that SteemTrust may sound a bit scammy.
We are not a scam. We don't intent to be a scam. Our intentions are pure and we would like the name of the guild to express that.
Given that this is about the community, we thought; Why not let the community decide on the name?
I am offering a 100 STEEM bounty, as well as the liquid rewards from this post, to whomever is able to come up with the best name for our new curation guild.
Things to keep in mind:
It needn't contain the word guild. There are plenty other words to the same effect, such as cooperative or syndicate which I have previously considered. We even briefly entertained naming it simply, "up". So, get creative. Anything goes.
We want it to represent our founding principles. That means the volunteer aspect; doing it for free because you want to see Steemit succeed. Not for personal gain or privilege. That also means rewarding only the very best of content, regardless of the type of content or the level of the author. Finally, we represent an end to delegated voting power being used to flag posts or comments. There will never be a single downvote from this guild.
Please keep these things in mind whilst making your proposals.
Make as many entries as you like, but try and keep them all in the same comment so as not to make the comments section overpopulated.
To be eligible for the 100 STEEM and the rewards from this post, you must resteem the post to give everyone a chance to get involved. We want a huge amount of participation so that we will find the best possible name for the guild/trail/cooperative etc.
48 hours from now is when the competition will end, and we will choose the name we think is best. That person will be rewarded, and then immediately after, a second bounty will be made available for a logo design contest using the newly discovered name.

So nearly there: Steemgold is the obvious choice: if a little too serious at the beginning, it could be lightened up with subheadings in the short-term, but then could switch back to mode:: solemn when the world has been conquered, the moon reached, universal adoption all but realised.

Did you even read the proposal? My intent is to put an end to reward pool draining, or at least the bad kind. I think it is right for a sizeable amount of the rewards pool to go to the best content on here. If that amounts to draining the rewards pool, then so be it, as long as the source of the drain is the sub par content that keeps making 200+ dollars.
