Whether Warren Buffet sees a bright future in the blockchain technology and Bitcoin or not is just a matter of opinions. The wealthy American investor might be very good at what he does as he proved over the years, but it is a fact that no one can have all the knowledge in the world and any of us is susceptible to make mistakes with no exception.
Ask anyone on the streets what is blockchain or Bitcoin and probbaly 1% will know how to answer. Ask me what is blockchain and I will give you no answer, but if you ask me if this is the technology of the future and if I trust the ecosystem and the idea that such currencies as Bitcoin will be at one moment in time the official world currencies I'll answer: HELL YEAH.
It's the same thing as the internet: I don't know how it works, but I am using it every day for years and it helps me in almost anything. It's like trusting the air without seeing the oxygen.
Regarding the crypto market and the fluctuation of the prices I really can't predict anything nor tell you why I think the coin X pumped with 56% yesterday. Today's slightly pump of many cryptocurrencies might be due to the 4th annual meeting of Consensus.Considering that the crowd participating at the conferences has doubled from previous year and some of the participants have shown off their crypto earned Lambos in New York, according to Bloomberg, I tend to believe that this event will affect positively the market in the near future.
Whether old investors trust the blockchain system and cryptocurrencies, or that the 1% from the streets knows what this technology is, the fact is that it is spreading all over the world in different sectors and nobody can stop it. Even Steemit, the first blockchain based social media platform can't be ignored anymore as we've seen in Ned Scott's interview for Bloomberg.
We will have the first smartphone created around the blockchain technology, using a cold storage wallet, and many others to come in the next year for sure. Apps like Steemit, LIBRY and SMSChain presented in this article are just the baby steps towards an era with such technology rewarding its users with tokens for walking, chatting, blogging and probably even walking. Such apps like Sweatcoin that rewards you for your work out with Sweat coins and the ones mentioned above are just a few examples of earning cryptos while...practically living your life.
I might seem too overconfident and weird, but I really believe that blockchain will not only make our lives easier and a lot of our activities much faster, safer and private, such as money transactions, but it will give some power to the people in the process. Steemit already put a bread to table for some of its users giving them the chance to earn money by creating content on it blockchain based platform. It is only the sunrise of such apps and platforms that are opening a bright future for anyone.
Even Facebook will launch its first cryptocurrencies and the "blue pill" is far from comparing it with Steemit in terms of transparency and freedom of speech. I see the blockchain ecosystem the way I saw internet in the late 90's when I wasn't aware about how it works and most important how will it impact my life. It was a good feeling that hasn't disappointed in time.
Now that I mentioned in the article about the Consensus 4th annual meeting you can give to @bescouted a follow for more news and information, as he revealed in one of his posts to be attending the event. Why wait for news about the event from twitter or other crypto news outlets when we have our own fellow steemian there to inform us.
I think it's interesting that in Tennessee, barely anybody knew what bitcoin was, but now that I've moved to Puerto Rico, most people know what it is. I know several kids my age that have already invested into bitcoin.
I'm not American, but I've heard more about Puerto Rico than Tennessee and Puerto Rico sounds in my mind like beach time, relaxation and fun. These kind of people are more open minded towards new technologies and evolution in general.
Regarding teenagers, I'm amazed how much smarter than my generation are and I'm only 31(until August..). Wished I knew about Bitcoin 5-6 years ago.
There's a comment spammer followed by @cheetah somewhere.
