RE: Introduce Yourself In The Comments.. Meet Others and Compare Interests.

in #busy5 years ago

Eclectic. Pretty much the best I can describe my interests, posts, and life. Mostly I share my life around my farm, the various flora, fauna, and events that go on. I try to show some of my travels and adventures climbing and hiking through my photos.

In my over 3 years here I've managed to find myself in a place where my account is essentially just my diary, a way for my wife to keep up with my daily life. Regularly I find myself wishing I had the knowledge and ability to write about the weirdly most engaging topic on here, Steem itself.

It's hard being an introvert in a "SOCIAL" media world.

Sort:

and yet steemit is a terrific outlet for us introverts! we can be social in the comfort of our own caves :)

Honestly the most interaction with the outside world I get is on Steemit.

ikr? i actually prefer it that way. im very happy not having to make polite inane conversation with strangers because it's expected. i'd much rather converse about deep, weird, or controversial topics most people run away from..

That is the spice of life! Deep and weird are what my mind seems to exist on a lot of times.

One of my biggest hang ups is not commenting or joining a discussion or thread because I am thinking to far ahead of myself and all the potential reactions to my words. I project too much I think and can't just chat. So many things seem just so mundane and not worth typing, but if I were to actually interact more those mundane things may take on more importance and meaning. Ugg... I suck.

nah i totally get it. most people dont get my jokes becuz the references are too convoluted.

LOL! I feel you. I have to work hard to bring my thoughts to a point of general understanding before hitting "post", or else I could just talk to a wall and get the same response.

There is push back right now on those of us who write a lot about Steem. I am totally guilty, but the fact is I love to talk about Steem. I love to read other people's thoughts on Steem.

:)

In addition, when I try to write about anything else, I make half as much and get very few comments.

I guess that is because I really am passionate about Steem and I don't really care about flowers and recipes and some other typical blog topics.

In addition, when I try to write about anything else, I make half as much and get very few comments.

To me that is an issue. Hence why my account languishes, it seems most have the similar mentality. Not that I fault you or others for taking advantage of it.
