Who Is The Most Important Person on The Blockchain?

Who should we value?

The Content Creators? The Witnesses? The Stakeholders? Other members of the community?

Stakeholder: The Stakeholders want to bring on other stakeholder and realize that without them the rewards/marketcap and more would be much smaller. Some of them think they are the most important part. Stakeholders are not all created equal and many have worked and helped while a few have treated this like a passive income investment and devalued EVERYONE in the process. I guess not all Stakeholders hold the same value to the platform.

Witnesses: Many of them are also Developers they Test (I hope) They recently decided to give us all a 10 percent paycut to fund the SPS while deciding they could take the same pay cut. Yeah, I feel a tiny bit snarky about it. Not really because I realize their are costs involved. But not all witnesses are equal and while many of them work hard, build products, and contribute, many of them have done very little. Not all witnesses bring the same value.

The Content Creators: These people provide the content, do most of the curation, they help contribute to games, ideas and various ideas. They used the apps provided, shilled Steem. They tweet, write, sing, dance, post, vlog, report... for their rewards. There are some who shitpost and copy and paste as well. Not all content creators are equal and bring the same value to the blockchain.

In my opinion if we were using DPOS correctly the stakeholders would be allocating the new inflation to those in each category that they think creates value. See that's an incentive. Others see people getting paid to do good things and they try to emulate that behavior.

In my opinion it is the combination of the 3 that makes the community and I don't remember that often enough. Sometimes when I say the word community I forget that includes the Witness and Stakeholders as well as the content creators.

So here we are it takes all three. And it is the Community that gives Steem it's value.

No one wants a pure crypto token with 2500 holders that is accepted no where as a payment

No one needs a witness without stakeholders and content creators.

We don't have any resources to allocate or any method of doing that with out stakeholders and witnesses So it takes the whole package.

When the price is going down and the value is leaking... It is easy to get frustrated and turn on each other. People tend to blame...

New Steem says we should respect the whole package.

I'm going to try doing a better job at that.

@whatsup,
According to my viewpoint I can't say those are the most valuable category on this chain! If we loss one category the collapse happens! And I wish Devs should be there as well! Coz this is all with SMT and smart contracts sooner or later! So they might act one of the most important role as well!

The Public .... consumers ....

Me of course! Because without me i wouldn't be here :)

never had the clap before :)

Except for that one time in college ....

I would separate the good from the deliberately bad (who just do not belong). At the same time, I would also sub-categorise, so there would be more than three facets for us to consider.

The rest (good of various degrees), I think of us as a molecule which makes up all STEEMIT/STEEM are made of. Remove one atom from the molecule and it no longer can hold together as the molecule it was and becomes a totally different kind of molecule.

If we like what we have, then it is not just matter of getting rid of the bad, I agree with you that we need to devise methods to reward those who contribute the most (each within their own sphere of interest, we cannot judge an author against a witness, for instance). The problem is, how do we make such a judgement? For instance, do we solely count number of posts and comments or by the number of people who enjoyed their post and said so? It cannot be according to some kind of mechanistic formula, liking 'trending' for all mechanistic systems are open to manipulation.

As for me, I prefer to let others work on this, for I do not have an analytical mind, so I might as well concentrate on my imagination and what it creates, while also keeping an eye open for the possibilities of making new friends.

preach it lady. Each part makes up the whole and each part deserves mutual respect. Its when one part disrespects another, that dissension starts and that breaks us all down.

The piece that encourages me is that despite the changes and challenges, the community continues to be seeking ways to combat this and improve!

Actually most important person/people is/are none of those three groups your mentioned for Steem or any other social media or blockchain project. The most important are your average users, your content consumers. Without average users (content consumers) all three groups you mentioned basically are useless or to be more accurate - userless.

P.S. I think the tag you suppose to use is neoxian.

It's a good point about the consumers, currently it is the content creators mostly, which may or maynot be a problem

Yea, it's a bit like asking which is most important, the brain, the heart, or the body, when at the end of the day, you need all of them functioning properly to be healthy.

Clinically, a person is considered dead only when the functions of his brain cease, aka brain death. This is why you can in most countries start an organ transplant even if the heart is still beating. If the brain is gone, everything else is gone. We can change other organs, or find a way to sustain people living without a heart... but the BRAIN!

I feel like this is what we need now, more brainpower, people who know what to do and how to do it. The market is saturated with organs right now, but only a few have the BRAIN!

I am COMPLETely IGNORING the snarkiness. It happens every time the price drops. It takes everyone to tango. #newsteem

Yeah it does.

  • Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram ... the only reason these companies are making billions of $ is because of their user base (content creators).

  • Developers are also as much importance as the user base since they are the people responsible for crafting a form of symbiosis that can retain users.

  • If you have an amazing pot crafted by the developers and delicious honey (content creators) in it. We can say now that it will be natural for the bees (investors) to gather around that honey pot.

Well doesn't stinc have the majority of the stake and sell the most like clock work.. Don't they have a vast amount of SP they do nothing with? And doesn't freedom pull the strings of the witnesses? Ahem "Dan" Leaving these very central figures out of the equation is idealistic.

Not to mention as someone pointed out you failed to address content consumers (others) likely because this platform isn't a conducive environment for them. Then everything else about steem keeps legitimate content creators from coming. It's a vicious cycle. Who wants to make anything decent that only has a 7 day pay out?

Nice clickbait though... Yea I'm still a bit salty and sticking around because it takes 3 months to cash out and I figure I might as well enjoy the fireworks and maybe even light a few...

I think it's none of the above. I guess the people who provide the most value to the Blockchain are the Exit-Scammers!

The most important person in crypto is you. Only thing you have control of.
