Byteball did a large Airdrop on Steem for anyone with (30) or higher rep. The higher the rep, the more you got (up to 70 rep for $160).
I was planning on making a post the other day, but Steem it showed them too much love and took down their network for two days. No surprise really, offering free money to Steemians, they are going to jump on it.
If you have a rep of (30) or more, you can participate in the airdrop by downloading the wallet and by getting someone to sponsor the initial bytes.
Byteball Steem Airdrop Rewards
Steem reputation above (30): you get a $10 reward
Steem reputation above (40): you get a $20 reward
Steem reputation above (50): you get a $40 reward
Steem reputation above (60): you get a $80 reward
Steem reputation above (70): you get a $160 reward
You receive half the reward immediately, and half in a smart contract that pays out in 1 year. The first half of the reward could be sent to Bittrex immediately to buy more Steem or Fiat!
How to do it?
Download the wallet here
Use the quick sync option to get into your wallet immediately.
Click on Chat and then Bot Store
Click "Steem Attestation Bot" and Add
In the chat click on the ...
and then "Insert My Address" to start the processFollow the instructions to login via SteemConnect to verify your username.
When it asks for payment of 49000 bytes, shoot me a message on Discord (Malcolm Reynolds#0159) or Steem.chat (themarkymark) and I will send you more than enough to pay the fee. I will be at my desk most of the day and will respond quickly so you can unlock. Once you pay the fee you should see the funds in your wallet shortly after you get your confirmation.
FYI: If you have more than one Steemit account you need to use a different device or you will not get the rewards for the other accounts.

It can take a little while, it's fairly busy. The first time it took me 4 hours to get a response. It should be much quicker now though, took a few minutes when I tried. I sent you 600K bytes more than enough to unlock when you get that far.

Whats a airdrop for or reason for giving away the money, if you don't mind me asking...just haven't heard of it before.
It's when a new token gives away coins to raise awareness. In this case, you can get as much as $160, $80 can be sold on Bittrex immediately depending on your Rep.
In your case you would get $10 now and $10 in a year.
Trying to decide if it's going to be worth any waiting/struggle to get through the process....how much steem or what is the steem price right now if I use it to buy steem?
For Byteball case, airdrop is just one way of getting the coins out to users without doing the ICO (Byteball has not done the ICO).
Since Byteball is built on directed acyclic graph (not blockchain), there is no proof of work and mining, so they can't distribute the coins that way either. Well, only exception is now the other airdrop to World Community Grid users, where the it's being airdropped based on how much users help with research.
And yes, awareness too, but it's not random airdrop to random adresses, users need to request the airdrop by authenticating themselves.
Another added bonus by attesting your Steem user is that you get your personal address in

You have to add the bot to your chat via the bot store. Then use the (...) button the bottom left of chat and select SEND WALLET ID.
That will start the process. I sent you the bytes to do the registration, it will ask you to send 49000 bytes after you confirm your user name.
