Last week at the Geneva Motor Show, Porsche unveiled the Mission E Cross Turismo AKA a "CUV" or Cross-Utility Vehicle, targeted to those with an "active lifestyle"
Unlike the Mission E road car due to be launched in late 2019 (which I recently blogged about), the CUV is a concept study and currently has no scheduled released date.
The one cool feature that blew aware with this vehicle is that it has a drone stored in the boot!
Yes you read that correctly, a drone that can follow along as you are driving and capture video footage in real-time, which can be controlled from an 11-inch infotainment on the dash.
I really hope this car goes in to production, I for one, would relish the opportunity to unleash a drone from back of one these cars and capture some incredible ariel footage , while on some scenic drive!
porsche always innovating, I hope it goes into production also
I hope so too, there Mission E is already going in to production next year, so I am guessing this may follow a year later. Exciting times ahead if you are Porsche fan!
The back light looks pretty similar to the Lincoln style lights aka MKZ, MKC, MKX... I like it but i like the Lincoln also!
cool..I will to check out the Lincoln
That sounds a little bizarre that they would sell a car with a drone just for the purposes of taking pictures. Maybe if they come up with more of a utility value for the drone it would make more sense. I'd be afraid that my drone would crash or that I might lose it somehow.
The beauty about the drone feature is that it looks on to the car's GPS coordinates, so hovers above without needing a human to control and potentially crashing it. The ability to capture the cool Ariel scenery while you driving through some beautiful mountain pass would be so amazing!
