Inspired by a 30 day blogging challenge, I would not have come up with this topic myself. Thanks be to @tripode for the 30 day blogging challenge to get my thinking to stretch...
When I was a child, I watched several cartoons. My dad loved cartoons. He used to leave church early just to turn on the Disney channel...that much...
I enjoyed watching Animaniacs. It was definitely relatable. I sometimes felt like Brain and sometimes felt like Pinky. I was always trying to take over my part of the world... lol
I used to love watching TGIF (which was very well branded, in my opinion!). I enjoyed watching the likes of Urkel, Full House, Sabrina, and other shows that were marketed heavily toward me. haha
We didn't seem to watch as much TV as all my peers growing up because we just used an antenna. Even then, I was able to keep up with the popular stories of the day. For the most part, I spent a great deal of my youth wandering and exploring, both when I lived in the woods and when I lived in the city. In the city, I would go to the overpasses and find all the cans and bottles to recycle for spending money and in the woods, I would build forts and explore to see what I could see. It was all fun.
I still think I'm going to keep doing what I do every night...try to take over the world ;)
What TV show do you most relate to?
I remember wishing I had parents like Corey from ‘Boy Meets World.’ Maybe I just craved the formulaic resolve that happened at the end of each show. The problems never seemed to last for more than 30 minutes.
I think a show that I really enjoyed probably the most was .......SAVED BY THE BELL! That show covered all the teen drama, angst, and it was funny. Most people I knew were tryin g to decide between Zack or Slater. I liked the teen problems they put in there involving tough choices, and it wasn't woke or hyper-sexualized like everything else seems to be these days.
Didn't even think about that one... definitely watched that one, too... with you... haha
