Well, after this answer, I still do not know why self-voting is a detriment to networking. I have many networks here:

  • the people I autovote
  • the people that autovote me
  • people who come and go with votes
  • people I vote at times
  • people from kryptonia
  • people who post to the tags that interest me

None of that has anything to do with self voting. The only place I do not like this is people who always vote their own comments.

I just looked at a few of the bigger fish I look up to here and most of them are self-voting. I notice a couple of those voting themselves with less than 100% now, but they are still giving themselves a good vote. Someone's 20% upvote was showing as over $7.

I upvote the comments people make on my posts. I think this is a key to the engagement I have because people come to see what I'm saying and know they are likely to get a comment upvote. These people enter my network.

This is not a casual thing for you - it's a requirement if minnows want to join your ccc idea.

Since I listed it up above, I encourage you to read my recent post about kryptonia and give it a try. In the year I have been here, this is the best place I have found for good networking and great rewards. It has down a lot for me since I started using it in February.

I have not once checked anyone's voting pattern in the year I have been here. If they have good content and engage with me - that's what I look for.

I really appreciate your putting your thoughts here to help make it better!

This is for the day of the post so that they reserve their 10 votes that day to vote other people's post.

Perhaps I could refine it with your input. It shoulg be acceptable as long as the poster can give 10 votes to others in the circle or chain at 12 SP or more, effectively. Bot vote might also be not necessary.

Although you have many great points, they are too complicated for newbies. But thank you!

I guess my take on this is that no minnow votes at 12 sp are relevant anywhere. If you get 50 of them, the post will pay out at -0-. I think it is far better to be developing other skills at that level.

All of steemit is complicated. The only way to learn is to do. I write minnow tips and here are some of the good ones - past their payout.

I would be doing all of this before I was worried about my votes - plus kryptonia. Once your vote is worth 0.01 or your sp is over 500, then you have a different story.

What I am starting here is, as we in IT, AI professionals like to say "herding cats". I'll give it a shot anyways and let the dust fall where it may or not.
I have invested right from the start and all I wanted to do is to have a voice big enough to not be completely ignored. In time, I'll power up more to get a bigger voice. I am doing just fine being able to get some percentage to respond to me > 5%. advertising return rate is 1/2 % at best.

yes, for me and my self interest profit-wise, but ...
