It seems that a lot of celebrities are jumping on the crypto bandwagon. In september the above tweet from Jamie Foxx reached his 4.83 Million followers. And he's not the only one: Donald Glover, Snoop Dogg, Drew Carey, Mel B, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Gwyneth Palthrow, Ashton Kutcher and Paris Hilton all publicly gave notoriety to what's happening in the crypto sphere. And these are just a few examples.
I just saw Lionel Messi endorsing Sirin Labs, the blockchain company that wants to launch a smartphone dedicated to blockchain functionalities. Or "Secure Open Source Consumer Electronics for the Blockchain Era" as they like to call it. I got alerted they are launching their ICO in a couple of hours from now and it got me thinking:
Of all the crypto-currency platforms, technologies and companies out there, Steem is one of the most promising and yet proven use cases. It has so much capacity at the moment that it can easily manage at least 80 times the traffic that has the Ethereum blockchain completely congested. The Steem wallets are one of the most secure wallets available. Transactions and transfer of Steem or Steem Backed Dollars are superfast and WITHOUT ANY FEES. And, as if that was not enough, there's a fully functional social blogging platform built on top of it, enabling its users to communicate, share thoughts and ideas and reward each other for quality content. So.. the million Steem question becomes:
These people have a good nose for what's 'hot'. I guess crypto is hot right now.
I think Steem needs it's very own religious figure, a messiah if you will. He is prophesied to come from 'a garden in the west', but I fear he'll not appear in our lifetimes.
That's the thing with messiahs: often they are not recognised for what they truly are, he might be among us already...
There are a bunch of celebs that are getting into crypto, but the government is also trying to get control of it.
Great post! Your doing very well!
Where can they find a 50 to 100 or even 1000x return these days? The only market that can offer this kind of return is the crypto market. Some of these celebrities may be simply buying and holding onto their coins - just a smarter way to grow and preserve their wealth. Others could very well be on the bandwagon for a quick return by participating in this pump and dump phenomenon.
oh gawd..
there went the neighborhood.
I think I would love to see Lousie from Funforlouis youtube!
