If anyone had to ask me what book that I would recommend to people to read, the first thing that comes to mind is "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. π¨πΌβπ«
Think and Grow Rich was written in 1937. Even though it's almost 90 years old, the books philosophies still holds strong to this day.Β
I remembered reading this book in the early 90's and by far, It's still one of the best personal development books that I've ever had read.. It's that good. π
The book is pretty easy to read and it breaks down basic philosophies in Steps. The 12 "Steps" In Think and Grow Rich are:
- Desire
- Faith
- Autosuggestion
- Specialized Knowledge
- Imagination
- Organized Planning
- Decision
- Persistence
- Power of the Master Mind
- The Mystery of Sex Transmutation
- The Subconscious Mind
- The Brain
I'm not going to go into great detail about the book as many people will have their own connects and opinions about it.Β π€ π‘

I love reading books. I always wanted to start reading books about personal development but something was holding me back. I guess I was afraid I'll find out that I'm even further way from being who I want to be than I think I am.
But recently I was looking for something easy to read but still with a great content. I definitely need some ideas on planning and decision so I will download this book. And well, it's for free - great deal!

Great insight. I know where you're coming from. Lots of people are fearful of new things or changes in life. The biggest growth can come from the things when we face our fears :)
I read this about 5 years ago for the first time. Dannggg I wish I had read it in the early 90s. Oh well. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now.

I had this in my stash but never did read it. I read a summary though and got the basic concept
I did the same thing like 20 years ago, had it for like a year before I read it. it was just sitting there lol

Once upon a time we didn't have enough information, now there's so much that we have to prioritize what we process .
I'm fresh into Steemit and pleased to find a familiar name. Napoleon Hill had his Success Colony in the early 1930s in Saugerties, NY at what was called Shagbark Pond. The vibes there were intense. The first two events that became the Woodstock Festival were planned there in the late 1960s under Group 212, an intermedia art colony. I bought the two largest buildings there in 1969 and put three patents under my belt within a dozen years. I attribute that to the same vibes that attracted Hill there a half century before. I like the concept of Steemit as a site but we should never discount the power of the physical site to inspire.
Think & grow rich book of Napoleon Hill. It created me best financial life and most encouraging titles indeed. It was my mind & life change book.Hi @stackin, I already read

The Science of Getting Rich, The Master Key System and As A Man Thinketh are all great ones also. I did read the "secret" but I was somewhat questing that one but does have some good parts to it. :)
Good post my dear Bud @stackin..reading books not only opens the brain, it rather stimulates and teaches us new things daily including keeping the mind busy. The strategies outlined in the book is great and I will like to get one and read...thanks for sharing.

I read "Think And Grow Rich" a few years ago. Very inspiring.
I'm still not rich, but I gained a few insights from reading it. I should read it again soon. I've begun to reread books that are though provoking, even if I don't agree with them.
Thanks for recommending that people read books. It's important and it's great that you are using your influence to encourage people to educate themselves.

I've heard before about you mentioned book. But never get chance to read it. I prefer to read positive thinking books. Above book showing what's correct way to find wealth.
