in an ideal world, that is what school would teach children instead of playing memory games with stuff they will forget a week after the test is over

So true, ideally the teachers should be educating on these issues including the parents but nowadays schooling is one big money making business. They want to show all fancy things and turn away from basics
Thankfully the schools in many US states have initiated Erin’s Law, where the school counselors and social workers are required once per year to teach a lesson to every classroom about inappropriate touching. Parents are informed about which week the lesson will be taught, and they may opt out ( a red flag). Inevitably some students find the courage to come forward after their Erin’s Law lesson. The lessons are age appropriate and informative.
I hope it works better than the laughable sex ed they had in my high school years
This is something really wonderful that the schools have initiated. I wish there are some more of these practices across the globe. Problem is also with the cultures. The 3rd world countries are way too far to think in this line.
