This model is made of bronze, hardwood, gold and enamel and represents the ship sailed by the famous Chinese explorer Zeng He, who was a diplomat during the Ming dynasty.
It was presented as a gift to Queen Elizabeth II by President Xi Jinping during the State Visit to Britain in 2015.
It's decorated with Chinese symbols of peace and friendship, as well as European symbols of peace and friendship (a dove and an olive branch).
