About Read A Bible Verse Daily

As Christians we need a daily dose of the word of God to stay active and keep us on track.

Due to the stress and the busy schedule of life and we tend to relegate this activity to one specific day, which should not be so.

I bring to all Steemians an opportunity to read and meditate on a verse each day.

When I first read this verse something in particular jumped out at me. In regards to the NIV version, it reads, "...because of His Spirit who lives in you." Now this might seem a little odd, but I felt myself being drawn to the word 'who'. If I would've wrote this myself, I would've said, "...because of His Spirit which lives in you." I thought to myself, "Why would I have said it that way?" As a writer, I often ponder word choice. But I realized that for whatever reason I was identifying the word Spirit as a thing, hence the need for the use of the word which. Yet, the reality of the Spirit of God is that the Spirit is in fact God, and therefore needs to be a who. How radical is this? The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, dwells inside of God and is God, and yet at the same time is something separate, such as Jesus says, "The Comforter will come..." Jesus does not say the Father will come. And yet the Spirit dwells in the Father still!

Understand that as confusing as this sounds, I did not feel confused. Instead I felt awed at the wonder of it all, at the intricate beauty, at the inability of my mind to comprehend, in spite of my soul feeling something, something I can't really describe.

Anyways, thank you for the post. It encouraged me to say something.

Reading a Bible verse daily makes us grow spiritually

So appropriate for the season and verses daily help us grow in Christ.

Asi mismo es amigo es gracias por tan maravilloso verso.

He is the Spirit of life.. HE IS OUR Strength... We christians have a lot of power and privileges. All we need is to stay in him, live in him and depend solely on him for that power.

That joy that even after death we may live in him and have eternal life ....
