RE: Caramell Macchiato

That looks fantastic, but ....

I wish Starbucks would stop calling that a Macchiato. For Barristas, it's difficult when a customer comes in asking for a macchiato when, what they really want is a cortado or a cappuccino.

Similarily, when I visit a Starbucks and ask for a macchiato, I have to fight with the employee to only put a tiny amount of milk in.

I apologize for the rant ... but I love espresso. :-)

but there is not much milk in, is it? they just bubble it

That's a good point. I can't tell from the picture. (Perspective is everything) I'm just used to the macchiato's that they make in Canada where the ratio of espresso to milk is more than 2 milk to one espresso.

A typical macchiato has 2 parts espresso with no more than 1 part frothed milk.

If you take a look at @smailer, he used to post his morning cup. His were usually bordering between a latte or a macchiato.

very interesting... today I learned something I guess :)

At the end of the day ... regardless of what it is called. If you enjoy it, order it.
