This Slovenian "winter" isn't doing any good to me and my girls. Since the fall ended we have pretty much to cold and rainy winter with temperatures above zero. Both of the girls had some flu and even ear infections for the first time. And even my immune system fell apart. I still try to recover from a really nasty bronchitis I caught.
So we started to bust our health with a tee with honey and tons of fruit. We usually choose local fruit, but this week's favorites are here. I love lemons, the little one mandarins, but the oldest just adores strawberries. I found them today at a local store and the label on them says they are from Spain... Just around our corner - not. :) Hehe. But still, they were quite delicious, and the girls ate the whole package.
With all these vibrant colors, I just couldn't resist posting the photo of them. And since is @juliank's #colourfulphotography Thursday I will give it a shot.
Have fun and stay healthy!
Nice!

The weather is ideal for different viruses, right now in Slovenia, we run out of vaccination supplies against influence.
I agree, although I heard there is a powerful flu spreading around, I'm a bit skeptical about all unnecessary vaccinations. The viruses are mutating fast, and even when you take the shot for one type, you get sick by some mutation. I personally prefer natural remedies for fighting them.
These fruits are gorgeous, great for storing vitamins in winter.
Exactly!
The best way to stay healthy is just eating a lot of fresh stuff and being physically active!
Being active is our goal. Hopefully, we will get better.
Very good great job I signed up for you you are interesting! Good post! Look at my blog, I'm also interested)) all the best to you!
Thank you for stopping by. And I agree, I had a lot to see on your blog.
yayyy !! The best thing you can do is eat fruits and lots of green vegetables to keep your kids healthy
It's something that I also do, when I feel my defenses go down I buy a lot of healthy food and I recover quickly
Exactly.
That strawberry is massive
:) It just looks so, because the lemon and mandarine are not that big. :)
Feel better little momma.....bronchitis is nasty and takes forever to recover from it
I love the fruit especially the strawberries from "around the corner" in Spain. lol......I try to eat local to but it's tough in the winter. I buy frozen fruit quit a bit. It's good especially the berries.
Thank you, I'm trying to rest a little. About the berries... I found out today, that I have one frozen pack in the freezer. How do you prepare them? I think I will use them tomorrow with something... :)
I use them in smoothies, frozen. If I want them soft, I defrost them by setting them in a bowl on the counter for about 15 minutes and use them in yogurt. You can defrost them in the micro waves as well. They'd be great in a pudding, oatmeal, on toast. I like to add a bit of lemon zest to the blueberries or raspberries. The strawberries are great with banana slices.
A lot of people are down with flu here too in India, but fruits look great :)
And believe me, they were as delicious as they look.
