Lol - No, the problem was with unsafe structural design, wobbly signs which might fall (they weigh a ton) during high winds, i.e Typhoons. When my granddad lived here in the 60's, serving in the British army, one fell right in front of the car he was driving down Lockhart road, Wanchai. Oh! I can see where they could cause problems! As a kid, I remember a rather non descript little downtown church that had a neon cross above the door, and the occasional beer sign in a bar window, but not much neon otherwise! That amount is pretty incredible!
