An adult hippo is a formidable animal. It is larger than a grizzly, and it can be mean like a grizzly. Maybe if you equate size, the grizzly would win — sharp teeth and sharp claws. But an adult hippo (not the pygmy ones) is very large and very strong (even when compared to a grizzly). I’d bet on the hippo.
