Pregnancy is definitely the closest encounter. I mean, 6 times I have actually harbored another being inside me. Can't get closer than that.

If you're referring to a supernatural close encounter, it would be a lucid dream I had a month or so after my husband passed. I was in my wedding dress sitting in a chair and he came to me in a suit, leaned down & hugged me. The room had been dark but as he did this, the room became light. I could feel him and he said he was ok. It was his way of letting me know. The feeling was indescribable & still feel that when I remember. :)

My once close encounter was with a porcupine when I was a kid. The family and I were out camping and decided to walk to the fire tower where we were camping at and there were 2 porcupines hanging out. Well you know kids we wanted to walk up the fire tower even though the porcupine were hanging out. Well needless to say the porcupine got spooked and shot. Likely no one got hit but we decided then it was not a good time to go up the fire tower.

Hmm closest encounter? Probably my c/s for my one and only bebe. It was the longest night of my life! Well, it was how it felt.. from the operating room to my hospital room. It was a strange feeling indeed!

One night while driving home from a long distance trip (from PA to SC) I dozed off (but wasn't really sleep)and hit the inner wall of the highway. I came to just as the side of the car hit the wall at 2 points. The car hit and slid back to the road. This was the second time this happened to me and I was fortunate that God was watching over me, as when I looked around there was absolutely nothing on the road. Nothing and none one but me in my car. The damage was minimal and I was okay. Shaken a little but okay, Thank God!!
How I wasn't sleep but my eyes were closed? Well I have an eye condition that when my eyes are tired, they involuntarily close and I have no control over it. Ussually when I'm traveling, I make many stops and will pull in a rest stop if I feel my eyes getting tired to try and avoid these occurrences. However, on this night I was pushing it and was just 3 miles from the rest stop but didn't quite make it. Thank God that I was in a place that I had been many times and knew my way around.
Now I don't travel as much and don't like to go without my husband since he's the only one that can keep me alert and knows the signs of when I should get off the road.
I hope I made it in time. I almost forgot to enter
