RE: Steemit Community Etiquette on Discord

in #community7 years ago

on PAL on discord one of the mods r0nd0n put the hard 'white people are inherently better than black people' sell on me, and i told him off, then asked the mods if that was acceptable behavior, and I was booted from the server.

I reject the idea that a. you have to be on discord or chat to promote your posts or b. that you can't post links to your work in comments if it is relevant.

an entire series of posts, more than a book length, best I can tell have been seen by around 100 people, meanwhile the most meaningless crypto hype gets hundreds of dollars of upvotes. it's pretty infuriating.

i am not at all certain steemit is in any way legit. my feed simply doesn't show me posts I want to see and i have to search out specific users i follow to get their posts. and i don't see hardly any posts before they have been up for 3+ hours, so getting any curation is difficult.

it is basically so that actual censorship would look exactly like this if the algorigthm, like reddits, simply silo's anyone who is off topic.
