I'm thrilled with the turnout of my previous contests so this is the next one. Since there were so many new people to start following me it got me thinking I don't know much about many of you. I want to learn.
Simple new contest. 1 rule
1). Leave a comment with a fact, story, bit of information, funny nick name, number of kids you have, something about you family, etc. Of course don't say anything you don't want to be public this is a public forum.
It would be nice if you resteemed this to spread the word. I'd be appreciative but won't make it a rule since I don't want to disqualify new people that might not know how or people that forget.
Also it would be nice if you followed me so you could see the results of the contest and up my follower count :). Lastly it is your upvotes that will make the contests happen and grow in size if you want bigger prizes and more contests then consider upvoting this and other posts from BunnyPuncher.

As with the other contests I'll give out 1 SBD to people that comment and participate. This isn't random just me picking out people so just want to disclose that fact. After secondary school (High school), i started teching sciences in a private secondary school. I use to tell my students: Always focus on your studies. "Focus on your teacher during classes. Try to have a focus in your life". Because i always make use of the word "focus", my students began to call me "Unclefocus". It irritated me at first, but over time, i accepted it. The staff and everyone statrd calling me unclefocus. That was how it began and later, i added "now" to it to modify it a bit. So every account that i created online, if "focusnow" is available, that is always my first choice username. Finally, i love being an inspiration to people. Am just starting up in this platform ( I was approved 13 days ago) and so could do little so far. but i believe i will do much more with time. I bought bitcoins for 40$ each and sold them for 250$. I had around 40 coins and I though it was a clever move..
Ouch well at the time it would have been considered a clever move. Now with the benefit of hindsight of course just OUCH OUCH OUCH! Sorry bother but the next big investment is only around the corner and bitcoin is still pretty hot. And alt coins have lot of run to run.
What a fun contest. I might consider running a similar kind of contest because it would be nice to know my followers better.
So something about me? Well, as my profile mentions, I am a husband, father, friend, lawyer, and woodworker. My wife and I got married pretty young--I was 21 and she was 23. I know have 5 kids under the age of 6. My oldest will turn six in April and the youngest was just born in November. Obviously our kids are pretty close in age, but numbers 3 and 4 are actually twins, so those two are really close in age. We have four girls and our youngest is a boy. We really did not know what to expect with having a boy, but it has been fun to have both.
I'm a lawyer, but I am still trying to find my niche in the field. I've only been out of school for about 2 years, so it is all still somewhat new. Because I spend so much time reading and analyzing for my job, I love having a hobby that works with my hands. That's where woodworking comes in. I am 100% self-taught and I think I have gotten pretty decent. A couple of weeks ago I had my first woodworking post about wood bow ties that I make!
Other than that, I try my hardest to love my family and friends well in Detroit, Michigan, where I live and healing from childhood wounds and trauma. Nice to meet you and thanks for encouraging thoughtful engagement.
Appreciate that you like the contest idea. Getting to know your followers I thought would be a good way to build relationships on here. Our first was a boy but I had always wanted a girl but didn't know what to expect. I thought having a daughter might be like having a small version of a girlfriend. Turns out after having one that it isn't anything like that being a dad.

I'm a software dev, with a girlfriend who's studying software and oh man getting that first internship is rough stuff. I like to think that I'm helpful as I've helped with homework and recommendations on extra online courses to study (college courses in computer science and actual work don't align very neatly), but I'm pretty sure that the best thing to have is a personal pet project like a website. But ideas on what to put on there, or idea for completely different projects, we're still hunting for...
That said, there was an idea I was toying with but not sure if I want to pursue this in-depth right now... There are a couple apps, Habitica and Lang-8. Habitica is an RPG where you level up by (saying you) kept up your habits, Lang-8 is a (no longer accepting new users) website for learning language by blogging in a different language and getting corrected by native speakers. So maybe those concepts could be merged... But there's already so many other language learning apps out there
It is hard to come up with an idea that has been done. I struggle with that same problem on my programming efforts.

I once lost the key to the US Capitol building. As in, the huge marble building that houses the US Congress.
Well, not literally the key to the Capitol (there is no such thing) but the master key to one of the office wings. At the time, I worked for a very important member of the Congressional leadership (a person you see on TV all the time in the US), and I thought for sure the Chief of Staff would fire me when I told him.
Nope. Turns out this happens all the time. Within an hour, a crew of servicemen had replaced every knob in that wing and everybody on staff had new keys by the end of the day. They joked, we always keep extras because the members of Congress lose these things like crazy.

Hiya. I've got two young children and their nicknames are BooFace and Neow Neow. They both have their own theme tunes which came to my mind at some point.
I also call them pickles and while out recently a little girl that was playing with them didn't believe my son when he told her his real name as she thought his name was pickle.

I was at the hospital when all these happened. My son has been sick since last night and we were waiting for lab results. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, having that much amount. A med tech even asked me if I was ok because I looked bothered. I was bothered because my son is sick. On our way out, I was smiling reading and answering this. And again she asked if I was ok.

I’m surrounded with beautiful resorts and live near the sea. I’ve attended 7 swimming lessons with a total of more than 15 sessions BUT I STILL DON’T KNOW HOW TO SWIM. Sigh
Swimming can be tough to learn. Here is a fact about me: My mother-in-law who is over sixty doesn't know how to swim despite having 4 kids and many many grand kids all of whom I'm pretty sure can swim.
When I was young I too had to take swimming lessons and was actually on a swim team that competed in swimming at the YMCA.

Yep and she has no interest in learning. I am fast learner for some things computer tech stuff yes but swimming I did for several years and still wasn't very good :) . I did win a few medals and trophies. However, they do give out a lot of those to the younger kids. I was a bit chubby as a kid and wearing a speedo and being a bit overweight doesn't always help ones ego. So as an Adult it is board shorts never speedos :)
But still you learned how to swim. That’s already an achievement. And more of achievements when you got medals and trophies! Wait how were you not very good if you won medals and trophies? Hmm?

Hi and nice to meet you. I am Thai and my boyfriend is a Black American. We live in Bangkok and there are many Black people in the city. We have a two year old son and every time we are out and he sees a Black man he yells out daddy. One day we were in the mall and he saw a Black man and began chasing him. I was running through the mall yelling that it is not daddy. People were looking at me like I was crazy. By the time I caught up with him he was hugging the Black guys leg and saying daddy. The man's girlfriend who was also Thai then saw me run up and thought I was this man's girlfriend on the side. I had to explain everything to her in Thai and we all laughed about it. But still when I left, Daniel kept saying Daddy! So now my nickname for my boyfriend is Daddy.
I have 3 kids so this is great story I can related to.
It was actually the same with my daughter but she is old enough to know now who is actually her daddy.
I have a story that I'm almost embarrassed to tell from when I was a little bunnypuncher that is very similar. Where I grew up was not very diverse. Pretty much everyone was the same color which was white. Today of course I try not be prejudice toward any race or ethnicity something I work hard toward and teach my children. I have coworkers and friends of many different backgrounds. So please don't hold 5 year old bunny accountable today. But 5 year old bunny had never seen a black person before a shopping trip I went on with my mother. Kids say the darnest things that is very true. I went up to this black man that I nor my mother know and yelled "Mommy there is a chocolate person."
As you can imagine that shook things up a bit for the store and the poor guy I had just called chocolate. Luckily he was a good sport and understand 5 year olds say things like that innocently not with any malice. Things ended with a group of people having a chuckle over what kids say. Now, however I have to live with my mother telling this story to almost everyone I know as soon as I introduce them to her (or within a few hours). Not a story I'm particularly proud of but since everyone close to me knows it already might as well tell it again. I no longer hold the view that black people are made of chocolate so please don't hold this against me. :)

I'm a 42 year old teacher who loves teaching grade 8. I'm a huge football fan and am currently surviving withdrawal with a small Steemit adiction.
My mother wanted me to become a teacher and I took 1 college class toward that goal. Wasn't for me but a great profession for those with the aptitude. It was most strange auditing a 2nd grade classroom as a young college student good experience.
I'm a jobless guy whose gf ditch him for joblessness, have zero earnings since last 3 months, someone put me on the steemit. Now on steem for 25 days trying to get something out of it, still didn't get a penny. Hope I will do something better with my life too.... 🤨

I’m @yssa who always been dreaming to see my father, my mom and dad aren’t married when my mom got pregnant of me, they were separated because of mom’s parents (they were very mad at her) and my dad got in jail in the reason I don’t know.
She was still in 20 when I came out to see this beautiful world, it took 17 years when she opens up, telling me who he was. I don't know what to act, the tears were flowing freely, racing on my pale cheeks, coz after all those ‘why and what-ifs’ popping in my mind, it has been answered.

Well lets see. @clivingston005 nickname growing up was Loco. It originated in my freshman high school algebra class. My buddy was Adam Ramos sat next to me and some people decided that his name was Rico Ramos I was Loco Livingston. Mine stuck. I have had the nickname for 25 years now am still referred by this name by everyone from my high school. I have an alter-ego that appears when I am drinking (which I don't do as much any more) called "The Wildebeest". This person tends to play inappropriate songs on the jukebox at the bar. Nothing like playing "Roots Bloody Roots" in a country bar.
I am sure there is more embarrassing things to speak of, but I I will have think about it.
I just turned 31 last October but I feel I left myself in my 26 hahaha A fun fact about me is that my real name is Ma. Flor but my nickname is Shine. Reason behind it was two different persons gave those names and neither was my mom. And sometimes they call me " floor" shine like floorwax or so but Im cool with that. I am still single @31 but in a relationship. I am the only daughter and only child of my single parent mom. I love travelling a lot and writing too that's why I see myself blending in this community and I love seeing and reading posts from people with the same interest as mine.
