My Least Favourite Food is dried oysters. My mom liked to stew it together with congee for great nutrition. It is said to be cooling for the body, anti-oxidant, and many older generation loved it. They liked it stewed with vegetables, nutrional soup and braised. The price per kilogramme is very expensive, almost RM300/kg (USD75.00/kg) according to the grades given to the quality.
But for me, I like raw oysters with lemon or some dressing. I hate hate hate dried oysters in my congee, in my soup, in everything!!! The taste is bitter plus sour. After 1 bite, no more. No more!!!

Haha... I can't stand FRESH oysters! It is just like eating snot! I can't say that I have tried dried oysters though... I would have thought that it would be similar!
Nope... Don't... Some cooks in Asia stew the dried oysters to dilute the taste into the soup, congee or stew... I'd like to know how other countries do it...
