Stage Four
Leaving the forest you find you now have to climb up and over some mountains (Stage Four)
High in the mountains you notice a very cool looking cave and @aussieninja beating you all to the top wants to explore..maybe there are some cool obstacles, traps or treasure!
At the last moment he decides not to and waits for the rest of the remaining players to catch-up.
...Just as you all get there a huge dragon sticks it's head out of the cave and blows fire at your group, shown below:
This creature is massive - only the best of you will survive this Stage.
It has a power score of 5 (dice roll of at least 5 or equivalent is required to win the battle)
Special field info (check for your class): The dragon has a slight weakness to powerful magic or massive physical blows
Warrior: Player has +1 to dice roll
Thief: Player has no change to dice roll
Wizard: Player has + 1 to dice roll
Basic Game Instructions:
Simply do a reply in this post with:
- How you want to attack the foe
- Finish the reply by typing @rollthedice
What will happen next:
A Bot should reply to your reply shortly and tell you your dice roll result. You need to add/remove from that number your special field effect (based on your character type - detailed above) and add/remove any passive item effect you have. After this, if you scored a 5 or higher you were successful. I hope people can self manage and just move on without me (check your own score, track your own lives etc). If you score less then 5, you lose a life point and must try again. If you use all life points, you must buy more from the item shop to continue playing...simplez! (well maybe, lets give it a try).
Advanced/Extended additional Game play options in this Stage post:
- You may challenge another player to an item (if you see they got one you like), see detailed instructions post here
- You may be challenged by Gobbo (you will see a reply from me which simply says @gobbo), you may accept challenge if you will by replying with @rollthedice, there are consequences, please see detailed instructions post
- If you are a Thief class you may attempt to pick the foes pocket before attacking, by replying with a simple standalone reply !pickpocket - see detailed instructions post. Note: what ever item you get good or bad you are now stuck with for all Stages :) - unless a player challenges you and you lose it.

Just to clarify... in Gobbo battles, the current stage/class rules do apply as well, correct? (i.e. warriors and wizards would enjoy a +1 bonus to their rolls against Gobbo on this stage)

I changed my mind and decided to go gamble against Gobbo... apparently I won but am still waiting to find out what item the git dropped.
I Run shrieking towards the Dragon.
I use my grappling hook to latch on the head of the dragon and climb up so that I may poke at his eyes with my mall bought nun chucks.

Damn! the dragon sure was tough though (Dice rolls brutal)...I think the adventure ended for many here, so did very well..
In hindsight I think I made it a bit tough - still Ghumoatch will go down in the history books - Cheers for being part of the experimental Tournamanet IBT#3. Hope to see you at IBT#4 :)
