The Owl and The Orangutan
The lion wanted to make a book that had data about the jungle; but above all, he wanted to know what the medicinal plants were and where they were. The lion commissioned the owl and the orangutan to do the task. The two made an expedition through the jungle, the orangutan wrote in his notebook the names of the rivers and plants, while the owl used his prodigious mind, without writing anything down.
There was a fire in the jungle and the book was lost.
After the expedition the two animals told the lion what they had seen, the giraffe wrote down everything in a huge book, the owl said everything by heart, while the orangutan read everything from his notebook.
One day the animals fell ill, so the lion sent the owl to tell him what the medicinal plants were and where they were to save the sick. Since so many years had passed by, the wise owl didn’t remember, so they called the orangutan, who still had everything written down in his notebook.
The animals were saved and the Orangutan was named the wisest of the jungle.
I loved this fable, excellent!
