It's not irrelevant; I can only assume you don't know a lot about software development if you think this. It's quite difficult for a new set of programmers to work on a code base they didn't write, especially without aid from the original coders. Also, I have no idea where you got the idea I have a personal bias, I'm not even a real Ethereum supporter. I just don't like to see the distortions of fact being put out by the ETC camp as I think it's originating primarily from scammers.

You mean like Bitcoin? Fact is if there is enough money there will be developers who will develop for it. The idea that it is just scammers supporting ETC is laughable whether you admit to bias or not you are.
