Follow My Vote is excited to announce that BillaryCoin is an official partner!! BillaryCoin (BLRY) is a political Altcoin that is currently trading on exchanges such as Yobit and NovaExchange. For those who don’t know, an Altcoin is a cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin.
Team Billary will be aiding the Follow My Vote Code Contributor Program. This program is where developers can contribute code, under the guidance of Follow My Vote CTO, Nathan Hourt. The Follow My Vote code base is open source. This means people around the world can contribute and collaborate on the project. Open source projects tend to have superior security. The more people who can view and test a set of code, the more likely any flaws will be both caught and fixed. Open Source also gives way to higher quality software. Which do you think is likely to be better: software created by a handful of developers, or a software created by thousands of developers? It is easy to see how open source can be a great advantage, BUT the most important open source benefit for the Follow My Vote project is end-to-end verifiability (E2EV). This is crucial because an honest and accurate voting system must have the ability to be inspected and audited. Without an open source based system, voters must trust the singular organization running the election to be honest and transparent. As history has showed us, not every government or company has chosen to be moral and upright.
The BillaryCoin blockchain can be used to run an election through the Follow My Vote voting platform. We are currently discussing future implementation and the use of the Billary blockchain for test environments.
Follow My Vote is blockchain agnostic and a big believer in satisfying market demand. If the people want an election to be held on a certain blockchain, we provide the respective solution.
Follow My Vote is currently using the Bitshares blockchain as the primary blockchain for elections.
Upvoted you
Better create a TrumpCoin UIA on Bitshares in a hurry and announce plans to use that blockchain too, if you want to maintain your agnostic rep. Seriously, elections, being a flawed idea in most cases make me think we don't want them to seem more credible. Check out a great song and message from Larken Rose:
