Hi everyone of Steemit.
I Started mining in 2014 and then sold all of my equipment as it just wasnt worth it back then (or so i thought). I do however regret my dessision to sell all of my coins as the current prices are outstanding.
However i am no longer looking back and i have started mining again and this is my first rig. It isnt alot right now as i want 6 cards in it but it is getting there.
Here are the specs if anyone is interested.
:1 x Asus z270 Prime A
:2 x 4GB DDR4 Ram
:3x GTX EVGA 1060 3GB
:1x Intel Pentium G4400
I also use 1x to 16x usb Risers for the card and the case was homemade.
Sorry if i missed anything ad all questions are welcome.
Is it profitable in the long run? Can you mine all top altcoins?
Also See my blog post for a link to collect free crypto, a one time opportunity.
Success
Yes its profitable if you mine the right coins. I mine using Nicehash so i mine the most profitable coin automatically and then nicehash pay me for mining in bitcoins. Its an easier way to do things as you just need a bitcoin wallet and to download nicehash pretty much. I do overclock my cards to make them mine faster though.
That sounds interesting u should post a tutorial on nice hash id read it!
I have just done a small one take a look and i would be happy to answer any questions.
good point. Is it better than Genesis mining? how much does it cost?
Mining on your own is more profitable and also your buying the equipment so you can sell ir when the difficulty goes down and make some more cash.
However it is more hard work and you do have to have pretty much a heater in you house.
why not do it as a group then? plan ahead and look for a cheap location and go for the best.
I find it easier solo. Less hassle not having to deal with other people. when you start bringing people into it becomes a partnership and your ideals need to match and i don't want things to be like that for me. I like an easy life.
Good point if you understand all the technicals. I agree
Nicehash and minergate are pool mining apps, so you just pool mine mostly then? With that nice setup you have you could probably solo mine some serious monero, dash or also ethereum I bet, I like that you went Asus, I have used them for 15 years love Asus prducts!!
Solo mining is ok but but its more hassle and unpredictable. I like an easy life.
Yeah you make a good point!
I'd love to hear more. I've been trading crypto for a while but I've never mined it. It's something that I'm becoming more interested in with all of the alt coins out there. I've watched some tutorials on how to build the rigs, but I'd love to know how the software interfaces and how the user can actually profit from it.
I have done a basic beginners tutorial for Nicehash and also a little run down on cloud mining on my profile. Check them out.
Welcome! i am a miner to, @squatee i post crypto and mining news. will follow you for future updates.

Welcome us all, both old and new to this place of sharing and treasure. Well, that's how it was explained to me anyway! welcome aboard and if you get a minute, take a look at my mostly ridiculous, sometimes informative posts.
I'd love to see us all grow together, so if you feel so inclined, FOLLOW NICK and my silly antics and I'll do the same. Teamwork makes the dream work (an old coach in those way-too-tight shorts always said that before slapping us on the butt...which I think constitutes assault these days, but whatever.)
Thanks
Wow nice for the miner like you
Thanks it is getting there. I might ever do some walk throughs in the future of how to build them.
I think thats AWESOME!!! just be careful with the 1x-16x risers as the CHEAP ones may catch fire... just get nice ones if you haven't already! like its not much more to get nicer risers and your GPUs are worth every satoshi... KEEP UP THE AWESOMENESS!!
Thanks and yeah you can get hold of some bad risers but i got more expensive sata ones as they are worth it. Hoping to get 3 more cards in here soon though (If i can find any).
