There has been a few days were most currencies fall in price, while IOTA keeps trying to move up. Today the buying volume is increasing and the RSI is strong. It has a good chance of breaking past its recent high last week.

IOTA is one that I hold for the longterm. It is the third generation of cryptocurrency. It is only available on Bitfinex.

Buy and hodl.

I'm not sure IOTA will be used by most of the big companies that create IOT devices. I've written a post about it actually: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@valderrama/iota-will-not-last-because-it-will-not-get-collectively-adopted

Sure you can catch a few waves along the way though and make some moment of it as a short trader but they will not survive I believe.

ok. i will give that a read thanks. its early days. they need developers to test it out.

Devs on their own don't mean much in my opinion. It's about companies deciding not to implement their own version of an IOT blockchain or Tangle as IOTA calls it but choose to use what IOTA already has...

I believe, especially the big ones, companies will almost surely always decide on building their own first and raise that as a standard.

It's all about interoperability. Interoperability is what all businesses and companies need, that is whats preventing companies from creating their own copies to save few buck, they will end up losing money in the long run if they think they can make a clone and make it work. Do you really think samsung is going to use Microsoft's version of IOTA or Tesla Motors going to use GM's version and so on, thats why they will choose a public one, one thats proven itself. And interoperability is what IOTA aims at.

Don't think so.... thats why we have Dolby Vision and HDR. Thats why we had HD dvd and Blu-ray. Thats why we have lightning cables and mini USB or USB-c. That's why there's Phillips Hue and IKEA's version. That why's there's Google and there's Bing.

No matter what we're talking about... companies don't want 1 standard. Not having standards actually is what drives economics.

Your taking it out of context, why do you think movie makers don't go "making blu-ray clones" for their own movies? instead, they use something publicly available that everyone else is using. there will be competition, like bitcoin/ethereum etc just like hd dvd/blue ray.
