The building belonged to an emperor? Do you know the type of wood that was used? I can imagine how many natural phenomena he has endured, it is incredible.

In the Canary Islands there is a type of tree that lives a lot. There is one very famous in Tenerife, El Drago (Dracaena draco), which is estimated to be 3,000 years old, although in the last years they have determined that it is between 600 and 800 years old. In spite of that I do not think that the wood lasts so much, since it is not considered a tree to be of the family of the Monocotyledoneae, regards

In my guess, the tree might be Zelkova
