Garlic and broccoli are supposed to be real good at regulating cholesterol, but fear not! Dietary cholesterol has little to do with blood cholesterol. What affects blood cholesterol the most are refined carbs. :)
I usually eat about 4 of our home eggs a day, but have been known to woof a dozen on a few extreme occasions.

that's good to know. I have been eating avocado and chia seeds with my eggs so that has a lowering effect.
That sounds yum! I love avocados with my eggs too.
If you eat four a day, you'll probably want about six chickens. Most folks go with one of those cute chicken coop/run things from Tractor Supply, and they run about $200. You can probably make one yourself for cheaper if you're handy or pick up a used one of Facebook marketplace or Craigslist.
The chickens are the cheap part, at $3-5 a pop for babies. That many can be kept in a Rubbermaid tote for a brooder for a while, and you'll need a heat lamp, feeder, waterer, and bedding for them. That bit should be around another $100. Feed all depends on what quality of feed you want them to eat. Mine eat non GMO, soy free feed that I get for $25 per 50 pound bag. I get a bag every two weeks about. The cheapest feed at our feed store is about half that cost though.
Beware: chickens are the most addictive substance known to man. You'll get hooked.
