Should I care? I don't follow the news but I am always updated by a friend. Yesterday she started panicking and asked if I heard anything. She should know I did not. As the lockdowns started I didn't even notice it and I wondered what a friend meant as she heard it since her children rather stay home than visit the school. The only "lock down" I knew was in prison.
The worry is about Pinocchio his announcement that we are not prepared to live 3 days (or more) without electricity and gas (it says enough what the plan is and that plan has already been announced years ago even when I heard it, that person living underneath a stone). She showed me a list with for the survival kit but after I read the first lines I already lost interest. _(It started with: If you are several days without electricity and gas be prepared... You should have rice....)-
I am open to tips how to boil rice without electricity or gas during winter and without water (well water should be in the pantry as well 3 liters per person per day).
How will I get (read also "pay") al that water she said and I told her to fill whatever she has via her water outlet since she has a faucet and the water is good enough besides if she has a rain barrel she can use that to flush the toilet and give water to the dog.
Not on that list was a flashlight. matches, a camping stove and camping gaz, also no toilet paper but wipes which you are not allowed to flush, no painkillers, no chocolate, no tea, coffee or alcohol. It's a weird list and if you ask me you won't survive if you are days in misery. Most likely because the toilet can't be flushed, the place smells after poop, pee and old sweat not to mention the immense boredom most will have if there's no electricity and... no internet!
I wonder if the bored ones will get out, live by daylight and visit their friends for a change. What do you think?
