Faro ist so mega schön!
Wir sind mal für ein paar Tage dorthin, es ist am besten mit dem Auto zu erkunden, die weiten Portugals sind grandios. So viel Natur ist einfach herrlich und wirkt beruhigend auf das Gemüt!
Das wunderschöne Faro ist das sogenannte administrative Zentrum der Algarve in Südportugal.
Das Arco da Vila befindet sich an der Stelle eines Einganges, das Teil der damaligen maurischen Stadtmauer war.
Durch den historischen Torbogen gelangt man auch in die Altstadt die mit ihren gepflasterten Gassen das Bild abrundet.
In der Nähe davon befindet sich auch die alte Kathedrale von Faro, die noch aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammt.
Ebenfalls gibt es dort noch ein Kloster aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, in dem prähistorische und mittelalterliche Exponate sowie sakrale Kunst ausgestellt werden.
Doch wir waren wie fast immer mehr am Strand.
Die Seele kann man am besten am Wasser baumeln lassen und die Prise Wind, die einem ins Gesicht weht, ist sehr erfrischend.

Arrifana
Wir waren mitunter in Arrifana, dieses ist in der Nähe von Allljezur.
Der Spot hat gute Beachbreaks mit hohlen Peaks und die Wellen kommen sowohl von links und rechts.
Ebenso findet man Pointbreaks welche häufig über die mit Sand bedeckten Felsen brechen.
An manchen Tagen ist der Point durch rasant schnelle, steile Wellen nur für Pro’s/ erfahrene Surfer passend.
Meist ist die Swell Richtung ist Nordwest, West oder Südwest, doch checkt es immer selbst nochmal.
Surfen kann man dort an diesem Spot das ganze Jahr über und bei allen Tiden.
Hach und wie schön die Straßen auch zum skaten sind!
Wenn man dann doch keine Lust mehr hat auf das Wasser zu gehen, einfach das andere Brett schnappen und ab auf die Straßen.
Immer mit Vorsicht, jedoch sind diese wenig befahren!
Puh, welch Glück!

Faro is so beautiful!
We are there for a few days, it is best to explore by car, the vast Portugal are terrific.
So much nature is just wonderful and has a calming effect on the mind!
The beautiful Faro is the so-called administrative center of the Algarve in southern Portugal.
The Arco da Vila is located on the site of an entrance that was part of the former Moorish city wall.
Through the historic archway you also get into the old town with its cobbled streets rounding off the picture.
Nearby is also the old cathedral of Faro, which dates back to the 13th century.
There is also a 16th century convent, which displays prehistoric and medieval exhibits as well as sacred art.
But we were like almost always more on the beach.
The soul can best be dangled on the water and the pinch of wind blowing in your face is very refreshing.
Under the Portuguese sun a wonderful combination!

Arrifana
We were sometimes in Arrifana, this is near Allljezur. The spot has good beach breaks with hollow peaks and the waves come from both left and right.
Similarly, one finds point breaks that often break over the sand-covered rocks.
On some days, the point is due to fast, steep waves only for pros/ experienced surfers.
Mostly the swell direction is northwest, west or southwest, but always check it yourself again.
You can surf there at this spot throughout the year and at all tides.
Hach and how nice the roads are for skating!
If you do not feel like going to the water, just grab the other board and hit the streets.
Always with caution, but these are little used!
