We're couple of young investors, who invested part of our porfolio in HIVE and we were planning to continue increasing our stake. However, seeing increasing amount of hostile activity on this chain we worry about our investment.
We've mentioned you all on purpose and we're hoping that some of you be able may help to calm things down. For good of HIVE blockchain and all users here.
Please have a look at this post and our long comment to acidyo. He is attacking another community.
Maybe one of you can talk to acidyo and calm him down? If he will continue, then sooner or later he will single handely destroy HIVE :(
You're not doing yourself any favours tag spamming accounts.
I get that people come here for different reasons and in all honesty, earning and investment is going to be the main one. However, there are ways to earn and invest that are more ethical than others. Sadly, the approach of both PH and this project is little better than the bidbots which put so many people off over on Steem. In fact it just comes across trying to find loopholes to claim it's not the same as bidbots. Once the bidbots hold was broken there was a huge difference in the spread of rewards, which just went to show how those few accounts siphoning so much from the reward pool in one direction affected everyone else on the chain.
Every accusation you've made so far of Acid has been clearly countered. While no method is going to be perfect, trying to do things in a way which benefits the most users is the lesser of two evils. Acid is regularly changing and upgrading what the OCD community does in order to try and reach as many accounts across all genres as possible. Not everyone agrees with his methods and when it's apparent that a lot of people are unhappy with them he is willing to listen and change his approach. He doesn't even make his own personal judgments on what to vote, leaving that to the decision of curators, in order to decrease bias coming into it.
If you can actually speak to him without getting accusatory, you might find you can come to a form of agreement. Acid isn't the only account unhappy with the two communities' way of doing things. I'm seeing discussion from lots of places with plans to counter what they are doing.

I have 0% as a self-vote, I like to write and if my posts are liked or useful I get voted on.
How does a service like hive.curation benefit the Hive community?
Those who delegate to hive.curation receive a vote even if they write a post with only one line and a few words.
Such a service destroys interaction.
I want to vote and support the authors I like.
I see it as a defeat to delegate in order to receive a safe vote. I'd rather get involved than vote myself.
Imagine if everyone on Hive delegated to hive.curation, no one would read other authors posts anymore, no one would comment on others posts and no one would get comments on their own posts anymore and Hive would soon die.
Hive.curation doesn't do manual curation but automatic curation and I don't like that.
Hive.curation is very similar to a bid-bot and I don't like bid-bots.

This problem is basically the same as what happened with the ph community, what you do is probably fine for you, your own community, but you do it while completely ignoring that we share a unique reward pool and there are other communities that may be affected if what you do becomes commonplace. I just took a look at your profile and I would say 90% of your comments are in the Project-Hope community, what a fucking waste of time.

Pro tip regarding Hive. It is not decentralized. It is controlled by a set of gatekeepers who use their stake to sanitize the network of content and behaviors they don't like. It was made that way by design and will never change. If you want to do anything major on here, it is best to petition the lord's of hive for permission, less they will annihilate you with downvotes

Imo - The only rule worth paying attention to is: if you have less than 100k hp, don't cross the Hive aristocrats, they will destroy you. We are in their domain, they own it. Most hostility comes from Whales abusing the system. Instead of building, creating and engaging they simply cash out and abuse the DAO that's the only issue I have with Hive at the moment.
